Zero Co, a pioneering sustainable brand, is committed to reducing single-use plastics by offering eco-friendly cleaning and personal care products with a unique closed-loop delivery system. As their mission gained traction across Australia, Zero Co sought an eCommerce experience that would scale with their growth, support their subscription-based revenue model, and enhance customer engagement with their values. Zero Co faced a few different challenges in scaling their online presence and driving customer loyalty, including:

Subscription Integration
Their existing platform was confusing for users, making it difficult to understand what was included in a bundle, the subscription price, or how to edit and manage subscriptions effectively.
 

Sustainability Showcase
Zero Co required a way to communicate the real-life impact of their sustainability efforts, such as the ocean cleanup campaigns made possible by customer support, to strengthen customer alignment with their mission.

Revamped the site layout, visuals, and navigation for a streamlined user experience that puts Zero Co’s mission and products front and centre.

Partnered with Skio to integrate a subscription platform, creating a smooth and reliable system that encourages repeat purchases and builds long-term customer relationships.

Empowering Admin Flexibility
Equipped Zero Co with the ability to edit the look and feel of the site without needing developers for custom styling, allowing their team to maintain agility in keeping the site fresh and aligned with their brand.

Sustainability Impact Visualisation
Designed and implemented an automated personal impact tracker to display real results of Zero Co’s ocean cleanup campaigns, using data configured in Klaviyo to personalise the experience for each user.

Scalable, Performance-Optimised Design
Using ArcTheme, we created a fast, mobile-friendly, and scalable site that meets Zero Co’s current needs and can accommodate future growth.

Revamped Site Design
Conducted a full site refresh using ArcTheme to deliver a sleek, user-friendly interface optimised for intuitive navigation and a seamless checkout experience.

 

Integrated Skio for Subscription Management
Implemented Skio’s subscription platform to streamline Zero Co’s recurring revenue model, enabling easy subscription management for customers.

Developed Personal Impact Tracker
Created an automated impact tracker to show each customer the tangible results of their support, such as the amount of plastic removed from the ocean, reinforcing customer loyalty and Zero Co’s mission.

 

Optimised for Scalability and Performance
Designed the site with growth in mind, ensuring fast load times, mobile responsiveness, and the flexibility to add new products as Zero Co expands.

 

Showcased Sustainability Efforts
MindArc worked with Zero Co and Klaviyo to create a Personal Impact Tracker that showcases the environmental contributions of each customer in real-time. The tracker calculates the number of plastic bottles removed from the ocean based on individual purchases and presents this data to users in a personalised dashboard.

 

To bring this to life, MindArc integrated the tracker with Klaviyo, enabling Zero Co to leverage customer data for seamless automation. This integration powers dynamic communications such as milestone emails and exclusive incentives, enhancing customer engagement while reinforcing Zero Co’s sustainability mission.

Through this innovative use of Klaviyo’s capabilities, Zero Co can effectively highlight the tangible impact of their customers’ support, fostering deeper brand loyalty and a stronger sense of community around their cause.

Through this partnership, MindArc delivered a high-performing, subscription-enabled eCommerce site that aligns with Zero Co’s values and supports their growth. Key results in the first months post launch between 14 October and 14 November (Compared to previous month) included:

  • Enhanced User Experience: Improved site navigation and layout resulted in an impressive increase in user engagement, with engagement up by 472% one month after launch compared to the previous month.

  • Increased Add-to-Cart Rate: The seamless and intuitive shopping experience led to a 396% increase in add-to-cart actions, making it easier for customers to explore and purchase products.

  • Higher Session Volume and Engagement: The new site design attracted more visitors and boosted engagement, with sessions increasing by 124% and engaged sessions up by 133%.

  • Revenue Growth: Zero Co saw a significant 35% increase in total revenue, driven by the subscription model and optimised product display, contributing to a higher average order value and customer retention.
